Australian Rheumatology Association 2009 Annual Scientific Meeting
ARA - APLAR Scholarship
Applications are invited for the 2009 ARA-APLAR Scholarship. Up to TWO scholarships will be awarded to support an APLAR region applicant to attend and present at the 2009 ARA Scientific Meeting to be held in conjunction with the New Zealand Rheumatology Association in Wellington, New Zealand on 3-6 May 2009.

The scholarship will consist of a return economy airfare (including travel insurance), taxi fares upon arrival and departure, up to 5 nights room only accommodation (twin/double) at the conference hotel venue, and full conference registration including conference dinner. Successful applicants will be responsible for their own visa applications. Insurance must be taken out upon payment of travel, and all monies shall be reimbursed if the scholar is unable to attend the meeting.

Successful applicants will be invited to present a poster of their submitted research and may be invited to present an oral presentation.

Applicants must fulfil and are required to submit evidence of the following criteria:

• A rheumatologist practicing in a developing country that is a member of APLAR, and who is within 5 years of completing their training.
• A copy of your abstract submitted for 2009 meeting.
• Proof of submission of the abstract to the 2009 meeting via www.araconference.com

Four copies of the complete application must be received in hard copy by the 16th January 2009, and should be submitted to:
